Three part composting system
We have made quite a few composting pallet bins. The last one that we made at the back of our garden is designed to work in the 3 stage system, ie you have three actual bins side by side. You fist start to fill up the first one, when this is full you then turn the composting material over to the second one, this aerates the compost activating all of those wonderful micro bacteria that we need to make lovely compost. Then you start again filling up the first one again, when this one is full again, move the compost in area 2 to the third area and you compost in the first area to the second, then you guessed, it you start to fill up the first area again. When this first area is full again your third area should be full of lovely black compost/mulch full of nutrients ready to give your plants/garden a real feast.
This process is very easy to follow once you get the hang of it. A sure way to keep being greener and have a wonderful by product for your garden, which will in turn if you grow your own fruit and vegetables be good for you aswell. There are many reports that fruit and vegetable grown in natural compost has much better nutrients and vitamins for your and your family.
We found this kit below that helps you with the necessities to get started.
